s.m.a.r.t.e.r. Goal setting
It’s always good to set goals as it keeps us focused when we might have a dip in motivation.
The best way to set goals is by using the S.M.A.R.T.E.R. acronym. If you use the picture opposite you can see what the acronym stands for. Ask yourself the colour-coded questions to help you set your goals.
Don’t forget to write them down and keep them visible so you can come through lockdown 3 in a healthier and happier way.
fresh air and sunshine are important
Although we must minimise the amount of time we can be outdoors, when we are out it’s really important to maximise every minute of that time.
With this in mind we have showcased what’s on our doorsteps within Exeter, no matter what part of the city you live in.

The Green Circle
The Exeter Green Circle is a 12 mile walk that provides a great countryside experience within the boundaries of Exeter – from green valley parks to the pavements of quiet leafy suburbs.
The walk is made up of five sections which are listed below:

Devon Wildlife Trust.
In this difficult time we can all find some peace, quiet, time for reflection and beauty in nature.
Devon Wildlife Trust look after Exeter’s Valley Parks which are there for all to enjoy. These parks are close to people’s homes and they offer a wide choice of leisurely walks, places to relax, fine views, and plenty of wildlife.
It’s really is important to open or eyes and ears and take in the beauty of nature. Through Devon Wildlife Trust you can not only learn how to connect with nature but also identify species of animals and plants as the spring approaches.

Bringing the Library inside your home
Whilst library buildings may only be open for Click & Collect services during lockdown, all Devon residents have free access to some fantastic library services online, all year round. Did you know you can access for free 1000s of eBooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers, Audiobooks, a Classical music library, Ancestry UK and more, all through your library membership?
So if money is tight and you’ve cancelled your newspaper or magazine subscriptions, you can read them for free online instead. It’s easy to sign up for a membership card online, and by using the library service you’d be doing a good thing for our communities – as the library services in Devon and Torbay are run by a charity (Libraries Unlimited). The more people who use the library service, the more funding they are able to apply for to expand their services. Sounds like us here at Freemoovement…!
Log in to your library account with your membership card number here, or sign up online for free here. You’ll find all the links to the digital library apps on the Devon Libraries website.
